Care Suites

Nursing care within your own home

The suites offer residents their own units within Hawkinge House. Each suite has its own front door with a letterbox and residents exercise complete control on who may enter their property. There is a choice of studio or one bedroom suites all with en-suite shower rooms. They all benefit from the secure entrance to the building.

Become part of a community

The suites on the ground floor are for people with on-going physical care needs, while those on the first and second floors are for people with dementia. Residents of the suites have their own lounge/dining room and they are encouraged to take part in the internal activities programme and to integrate into the Hawkinge House community as much as possible. However, they have complete choice over which activities they wish to join. Also, they can have their meals served in their suites or they can enjoy the company of the other residents in their communal dining room.

In-house Registered Nurses and carers available 24 hours a day

Hawkinge House is registered as a Domiciliary Care Agency and a Nurses Agency in order to provide both personal and nursing care to the residents of the suites. The in-house team of registered nurses and carers is available 24 hours a day to respond to the residents' care needs when required. With Registered Nurses available on-site, the suites offer a permanent home where the residents do not need to worry about moving when their care needs increase. However, as the suites are the residents' own homes, they can also choose to buy their care from any provider registered with the Care Quality Commission.
